Frequently Asked Questions.
What is the typical timeline for LMSW supervision?
1
Our supervision services are designed to meet all Texas LCSW licensure requirements. A typical timeline includes 4 hours of supervision per month for 24 months. The length of each supervision session depends on cohort size and scheduling. You can also expect to allocate some additional time each week to prepare for supervision sessions.
What is your approach to supervision?
2
We utilize a collaborative approach that encourages cohort engagement, peer feedback, and varied perspectives. We believe that good supervision, much like therapy, requires ongoing work in between sessions. Supervisees are expected to practice what they learn in supervision and improve their clinical skills through consistent effort in their own work.
What topics will be covered in supervision?
3
Supervision will focus on clinical skill development in various evidence-based modalities including DBT, TF-CBT, and ACT. We’ll also address ethical issues, social and cultural considerations, professional and career development, test preparation, and case conceptualization.
What makes The Texas LCSW different from other supervision services?
4
Our LMSW supervision services stand out with a uniquely collaborative approach. We offer a dedicated private cohort platform, which provides a supportive space for peers to connect, share resources, and grow together. With a strong emphasis education and skill development, our supervision is designed to deepen your clinical knowledge while building a professional community that empowers you every step of the way.
